My May 2018 Bullet Journal Spreads

Friends, here are my bullet journal spreads for the month of May! A week ago, I moved back to Germany from the US and I’m slowly starting to get back into planning and my routines. My last month in Alabama was so, so full of emotions, work, meet ups and farewell parties that I barely had time for myself and personal projects. Hence, this post comes super late but now it’s here 🙂 Saying goodbye to my friends in Alabama, to the beautiful campus of the University of Alabama, to the sunshine and all my favorite spots in Tuscaloosa was way harder for me than I expected and I will definitely talk about all of that in a separate post, so stay tuned for that!

Here’s my monthly overview. I really loved the collage style I used last month and decided to keep on going with that. If you’re wondering where I got all the paper scraps – I didn’t buy any but collected different free magazines, brochures and flyers and saved other paper products over the last few months. For example, the purple and gold floral scraps you see in this spread are from the envelope of a letter my best friend sent me a while ago. You really don’t have to spend a fortune to create beautiful journal layouts! I only used washi tape on two spreads that I bought a long time ago but otherwise these layouts can be achieved with minimal costs.

Here’s a better shot of my mood and habit tracker. Same concept as last month but I really love the floral cut outs and the green theme! I also use this page as a review at the end of the month (what went good/bad, what do I want to improve, what am I grateful for etc.).

Because I have barely used the big to do list from last month I skipped that this month and just went straight into weekly spreads. Here’s week one:

week 1 (3)

I left the US on May 7th, so this was my last week in Alabama. I included a picture of the Bama Theatre in Tuscaloosa to set the mood for my last few days…

Here’s week 2. I like the earthy tones in this. What colors to you lean towards in your bullet journal?

week 2 (2)

week 2 (3)

Week 3 has more purplish tones and I really like how monochrome it turned out.

week 3 (4)

This is what week 4 looks like. I’m not entirely sure if I’m happy with it but well, it is what it is now 😀

week 4 (2)

And week 5 turned out rather neutral:

Designing my layouts is always so therapeutic for me. I love how it keeps my hands from reaching for my phone and my eyes from looking at my laptop screen, haha! I mostly listen to podcasts during that time though. Recently, one of my favorites has been Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness. Do you have any recommendations for me?

Love always, Lena. xxx
